Safeguarding
The school works very hard to ensure that all the children, staff and visitors are safe and happy when in school.
The school has a robust safeguarding policy in place and ongoing training takes place to ensure that all staff have up to date knowledge and confidence in managing and safeguarding issues that may arise.
The school works with the White Hills Park Trust to monitor and improve the policies and practices ensuring everyone involved in our school community remains vigilant and is able to spot the sign and symptoms of any sort of abuse.
The school has a range of policies which are reviewed at least annually and discussed and understood by the staff team.
Volunteers undergo safeguarding checks prior to working in the school and any visitors are inducted through the safeguarding procedures of the school and this is reinforced through out visitor information leaflet.
Where people from external organisations work in school, all the relevant safeguarding checks are carried out prior to them working in school.
Mr Pete Wilkes is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the school has 5 Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads who work across both sites of the school.
The DSL team work closely with the staff, children, parents and external agencies to ensure all the children are able to thrive and feel safe in school.
