Here we are again at the end of another week - well done to everyone for keeping going and for all the amazing work that you are doing. It seems strange to think that next week would have been Year 6 SATs week and we would
have been preparing you all for the challenge at school. We know how hard you all worked and how hard you are continuing to work at home so a big well done from all of us!
Going forward, we are waiting for the announcements from the government to tell us how and when school may re-open. As you can imagine this will take a great deal of planning and it is likely to be an uncertain time for us all.
Please be assured that we will keep you informed as soon as we know anything definite and that our priority is the health and wellbeing of the children, families and staff at school.
The teachers have enjoyed chatting to you all on the phone and the Zoom meetings have been very entertaining.
The staff are getting very creative with these and are sharing ideas with each other – keep your eye out for the emails and texts.
I hope that you enjoyed the assembly last week on Determination. I remembered it as I was running up the last hill on Friday and it kept me going to the end! This week the value is Positivity. I asked the staff for ideas of what is keeping them positive at this time and we have put together some pictures of all the things they have been up to – they have certainly been busy!
It would be great to hear what you and your family are finding to keep positive; we
have already heard from lots of you about challenges you are setting yourselves and new skills that you are learning. We would like to celebrate this so please send in your ideas and photos to the class or office email and I will share them with you next week on the website. Don’t forget to send us your VE day pictures too!
The library will be open between 9.30am and 1pm on:
- Monday 11th May - Year 1 at Meadow Lane and Years 3 and 6 at Cator Lane
- Tuesday 12th May - Year 4 at Cator Lane
New work books are available to pick up in the school entrance at Cator Lane.
Take care of yourselves and each other.
